Gifts That Reflect My Journey
As the holiday season wraps up and I find myself surrounded by an array of gifts, I've been reflecting on how these gifts from friends and family serve as snapshots of who I am at this point in my life. This year, I received watercolors, design books, creativity books, an eclectic assortment of pencils, art store gift cards, sketchbooks, travel literature, and even books on mountain biking. A lot of this year's gifts were all about watercolors. This medium is a lot like life—it can be tough to manage and sometimes pretty frustrating, but the end results can be amazing thanks to the natural flow of the process, just like in life.
