National Book Lovers Day Illustration

This was an impulse illustration. A notification in a newsfeed came through about National Book Lovers Day and I thought it would be a fun illustration. When I think of reading, I imagine a large, broken-in couch with big pillows. I also wanted to focus on type and the big blank wall in the background was the perfect place to write the theme of the day. I spent the most time trying to get the type correct.
