Quick Sketch of David Carson
Sharing a quick sketch of David Carson I did while watching an Adobe Max inside session titled, “Graphic Design with David Carson and Martha Gil.” As usual, Adobe did a great job of producing this session and I was inspired and in awe of David’s art. I don’t know why, but I just started sketching him as the interview was occurring. I used a Blackwing Natural and a sheet of French Paper Company’s Smart White 70T.
I always find myself drawing and painting this Yellow Dwarf Umbrella Tree in my studio. Its crooked shape amazes me—it’s a wonder it’s still standing in its pot! For this watercolor piece, I started with a continuous blind contour sketch using a Uni-ball Eye Micro pen.
